Planet Hack is an annual collaborative hackathon, hosted by the Australian National University in partnership with high schools, where young innovators come together to solve the world's most pressing challenges. Over two days, students work side by side, brainstorming, coding, and developing solutions that address key global issues, from climate change to sustainable urban living.

Planet Hack focuses on net zero and sustainability, aligning with global climate priorities by challenging students to develop innovative solutions to climate-related issues based on UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In a rapidly evolving world, technological advancement and creative problem-solving are crucial to facing the challenges ahead. Planet Hack provides a unique platform for students to experiment with innovative ideas, learn from each other, and make a difference. We will publish the ANU academic leading the 2025 Planet Hack, and the topic theme shortly.

Their research focuses on Solar Fuels, Batteries, Wearables, (Opto)electronics and Machine Learning.
